The only child of a widowed Marine General, Grandma came from a long line of military heroes. Growing up on military bases, she learned fighting tactics from the troops and cooking skills from the mess hall. Her earliest toy was a pink ribboned land-mine that she called “Cuddles.” Not allowed to join the military due to being a female, she set out to prove her worth through illegal military fighting competitions. During one of these she battled a young Gramps and as he looked up at her and smiled with broken teeth she knew it was love at first punch. The fact that her father disapproved of an Army man endeared her to him even more.
