I am going to work on my Suburban Fighters Graphic Novel tonight! 😍 This time I am going to focus on coloring Hannah the Housewife and Millie the House Mom.
Hello friends! I almost maxed out my poor old laptop. It only has 2% space available. Yes, it only has a measly 2% of free space.
Ahhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!
I can barely do anything on it. I was coloring a picture on my computer and it would not allow me to save it. So, now it is time to play a moving computer file game. Which would be easy if i was the only person who uses the laptop. Unfortunately, I share my precious laptop.
Grrrr….
Not a big update….. just focusing on projects day!
Hello friends! I want to share my opinion about what I want to see in Artist Alley (at conventions). It is simple…. I want to see more creator owned art.
Fellow Artists…. I know it is easier to sell items with main stream fandom characters on it. I see it all the time in Anime And Comic conventions. Marvel, DC, Disney, Nintendo, Pokemon and so on sells faster than creator owned items.
But what if we had the big take away? What if conventions only allowed people in Artist Alley to sell their own Creator Owned Characters?
Some comic cons on the West Coast are already doing it. The people go into a con and tell people to remove all items that they do not own the copyright to. Print wall people are pretty much told they can’t sell anything.
I have even heard of Artists on Etsy getting told they are infringing on copyrighted materials and if they continued they will face a lawsuit.
Anyway imagine if you spent more time on your own characters. So much more would be accomplished.
I just want to see more independent artists shine by creating things that they can legally sell and promote.
PS – I do like fan art. I just wish that so many talented Artists did not have to rely on it to make a ton of money at the conventions.
